ENCAT has supplied lots of schools, local councils and universities with our bicycle parking racks & skateboard storage racks. Although one of the biggest changes we have seen has been the use of scooters, both powered and non-powered.
In a recent Bicycling Australia report they measured the types of mobility devices being used in certain locations. Some sites had triple the amount of usage from 2019 to 2020 for short wheelbase scooters;
- 124% increase along the Bay Trail in Brighton.
- 70% increase in the Melbourne CBD.
- 28% increase along the Outer Harbour Greenway in Adelaide.
- 157% increase on the Kangaroo Bay Foreshore in Hobart.
- 25% in Parramatta.
- 74% along the South Perth Foreshore.
Therefore it has been no surprise that ENCAT has been asked to design and manufacture a scooter rack that can be used in Australia.
